225/60/15s on stock steelies ??
I have stock 15" steelies wrapped in stock sized (205/65/15) Michelins.
They are still good for a few thousand miles but I want to be prepared when the
time comes, therefore my question:
Can I put 225/60/15s on stock steelies without ending up with a mushy
feeling ride?
These are calculations from http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html:
Specification 205/65-15 (stock)
Sidewall 5.2in
Radius 12.7in
Diameter 25.5in
Circumference 80.1in
Revs/Mile 791
Difference 0.0%
Specification 225/60-15
Sidewall 5.3in
Radius 12.8in
Diameter 25.6in
Circumference 80.5in
Revs/Mile 787
Difference 0.5%
