my brother-in-laws neighbor has a TT and it spends more time on a flatbed than in his driveway... I guess if he could "mod" the flatbed he would have a chance.

There have ben TTr's in the low 6's as well.

Go to bookstore and look up any TT time, ive never seen a 225 in the 7 range.

Besides, what do you need a magazine for? Just take a stop watch, rev the car up, drop the clutch, and time yourself to a sub 7 sec run to 60. Not very hard to do.

Did you all read any more of the posts in that thread? They are all saying "I don't care if they can beat us, our cars look better." Thats easy to say when they find out their cars are slow!!
Check this out
"When I'm in my car, it's me, the vehicle, and the road. I don't really care about other cars....One of the regulars on this forum drives a fast TT and his wife drives an Altima. He told me it really rocks. But I doubt he's begging his wife for the Nissan keys and leaving his TT in the garage...."

Maybe guys who are not married and don't have kids would rather have an Audi TT than a maxima/altima, but because I have other stuff to do besides tote my lover around, I chose a max.

My friend with an M5 said it best when a co-worker with a vette started giving him a hard time about being .1 second faster in the 1/4. The M5 guy said "but I can also bring 3 friends and all their luggage. What do you have room for, a pizza and some spare jockey shorts in the glove box?"

Alti/Max and TT are TOTALLY different cars in completely different classes. Just like I've surprised a few porsche owners off the line, they shouldn't be surprised there are faster cars out there

...I couldn't help it, I created a profile 'Maxima Owner' and had to let them hear a little reality. It may start a flame war over here... I was rational and mature, but I am sure there are a couple of folks over there who aren't...

TT's have always been known for being slow. So what are they all bickering about?

ok, now I'm putting my vote in... THAT BOARD SOFTWARE BLOWS DONKEY *****! Your reply is right in the middle of the page! I have better things to do than read times/dates to see if a post is a "reply" and if so, to which message.

BTW, your post was level headed, factual, and honest... expect to get

How can they even argue to HUGE difference between the two. The TT looks nice and thats it. Here is another source - Autotrader. Both are stock. Not even a contest!! Why are they all so suprised that their gay car is so slow. It looks fast though.

2003 Max SE 2003 TT
Horsepower 255@5800rpm 180@5500rpm
Torque (lbs-ft) 246@4400rpm 173@4700rpm

so be patient and it'll get fixed, or according to the old addage "if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem"... you could always help fix the problem and leave.

This guy on there who has been calling me a 'moron' told me to check the internet before speaking, and he linked me here:

http://www.car-videos.com/performance/

So I went. And his website proved me right, it had Altima at 6.25 0-60 5-spd

and TT 6-spd 225 at 6.4...

But even funnier was the 0-100... Altima had a 2 sec margin on that! You guys gotta go look at this thread now and laugh!
