Sub Install help needed

I already posted this on Audio forum. But I thought I get more responces here.
I just ordered my components. Pac-AOEM-NIS2 adapter, Kicker Comp 03C84 8" Sub and Rockford Fosgate Punch 200M Sub Mono Amp. I'm gonna try to install these by myself. But since I know nothing about car audio, i need your help. I know how to remove the Bose HU. Do i need to slice any wires or is the adapter plug and play? Do I have to power the sub or the amp or both directly from the battary? Do i need an on/off swith for the amp? anything I need to know before I attemp this?
Thanks in advance
Nik

I have a PDF file on how to remove the Bose head unit, if you want it PM me with your email. I also have one with the wiring diagram if you wanted to wire the aftermarket head unit yourself. Otherwise you'll need to buy a harness.

The PAC kit is plug and play. Unplug harness from Bose, plug int the adapter(basically a Y cable) then plug the adapter into the head unit. Do that on both plughs. Then run your RCAs down the passenger side. You will have to get a remote turn on. There is one in the AOEM-NIS2 that you can use or you can tap in at the Bose Amp (Look at Studman's post in the FAQ of the audio forum for the right color wire). Run a 8 or 4 guage cable from the battery to the amp and speaker wire from amp to sub in a box and you will be done.

I'm looking at the wiring chart. For the subwoofer input there is a +12v red wire which is always on. Can I use it for power source? Also there is a On/Off green/white wire. that's the one I need to tap in for switch right? will the sub automatically turn on? or I still need a manual switch?

I used this one on the input of the Bose Amp, Amp On/Off Green with White Stipe. Good luck.
