Best Color to paint Calipars
Best Color to paint Calipars
This question may have been asked before, but no search feature... Question is what would be the best color to paint the brake calipars? What color is the easiest to maintain? I have a 2003 Silver Maxima with Titanium rims, so i was thinking a chrome paint or silver would look nice... has anyone tried those colors? Give me some advice for a good color... thanks!

I agree. That's why I painted mine silver. Didn't want to distract from the car or wheels. Here a shot(before the drop)of the front caliper for you.

Thanks for the compliment, its my wheel that's shown above. FYI, I used the G2 caliper paint instead of Folia Tec.

There is no real difference between G2 and Foliatec. They are both aircraft grade enamel, and both will last a long time. Both look great... part of it is ensuring that you clean the dust off of your car and clean your wheels real good (something a car wash WON'T do)... it's best to put two good, solid coats on, with 15 min drying time in between coats (best to do TWO calipers at once... front end, then rear end).
The paint is high temp... the best possible.
Red is best for a dramatic effect, as well as blue or yellow... silver and black are more 'subtle', but look sharp (like on Oxidizer's Max). Just do a color combination that doesn't look 'rice'.

Short of black, I don't think this is likely since high temp paints might not work well with OEM color pigments.
