Come on guys, need help here....some of u

saw my earlier thread about Sears being nice to me and swapping my MXM4s for Pilot A/Ss because of two defective tires.

Now the simple question, pointed only to those who replaced the stock Potenzas with the Pilot A/Ss: did your ride quality and noise level suffer when you installed the Pilot A/S or was it the inverse, are the Pilot A/S better in ride and quality and noise level than the Potenzas?

Obviously the question applies if yu also retained stock or near-stock sizing....please specify if you changes sizes as well

Much obliged

Yeah I changed the Potenzas for the Pilot A/S in 245/35/19. The noise increased a bit and the ride is a bit harsh (probably due to the narrow sidewall), but their rain performance is worth it. I used to just about hydroplane every time I was riding the ruts on the Banfield. It was amazing how much better these tires are in every condition than the stockers.

I didn't notice any difference in ride quality or noise when I switched from the Potenzas to the Pilots. I kept the same original size of 225/50/17.

I switched my potenzas for PS A/S (225/50-17) and the ride quailty improved by a ton. The noise was somewhat odd. On certain types of pavements, they would howl up to a certain speed and quit. It isnt horrilby loud, esp if you have the radio on, but it is noticable. If you have any questions, I have had many sets of these on 3 different cars, and would love to share my info. Later

Same the noise increased especially the howling on certain pavement types. Also if you ever hit upwards of 120 its LOUD!!!!!!! It seems to have quieted down some since I got a little wear on them, but Im not sure if it did for a fact quiet down or I got used to it.
