ok, i was about to order the OBX catback, but a friend of mine has a brother that owns a local muffler shop. he said he can get me stainless steel magnaflow, or borla exhausts. so rear sections and muffler and custom bpipe, with either a magnaflow muffler, or borla. does anyone have either of these mufflers?? how do they sound?? i am afraid it will be too loud. i am looking for something like a greddy, or OBX, do either of magnaflow or borla compare to these, or are they louder?

hes offering the catback plus intall for only $150, opposed to a $300 obx, plus install.

what do u guys think? how will the other 2 exhausts sound?

That is an almost unbelievable deal. I would still ask if their pipe (specify 2.5in I.D.) is stainless steel. Definitely worth paying a little more if it is.

My greddy is not even a year old and the alunminized pipe looks BAD. BAD as in bad...not good! I'd be surprised if I get two more years out of her...

 

the b-pipe is a 2.5' all the way to the muffler. and the whole catback is stainless steel.

i know this is a great deal, but i dont know how magna flow or borla sounds. thats what i am trying to figure out, i want something around greddy or obx standards as far as sound goes.

anyone got any advice on these sound????

go for the borla muffler, and make sure there is a resonator on the bpipe...it should sound better than the greddy/obx.

2 of my friends got custom ss bpipe's with resonators and brullen mufflers and it sounds pretty much amazing.

 

Yeah, go with the custom made one.. Most people are very happy with the sound and quality of borla mufflers.

 

This is exactly what I was going to suggest. I don't have the Borla, but I've heard great praise from VQDriver about it many a time.

i highly doubt that the pipe will be mandrel bent, i'd rather go with the OBX, which is stainless steel all around and mandrel bent
