show me your tint pictures

Hi All,

I have a black-on-black '03 SE that I am looking to tint the windows on. Can all you guys with tint show me pictures of your car and let me know what percent tint you have (i.e. 50%, 35%)?

I am a bit nervous about the back window and the raised black bumps that are at the top. How did your tinter handle this and how good does it look? I'm especially interested in seeing pics of this.

Thanks,
DG

I have 30% on sides and back. Look at my website for pics.
I was worried about the bumps too. They did the best they could. It looks bumpy but only if you look close. You can't even see it in the picture.

Look at my homepage for pics - page 3. I have 32% sides and 18% rear window and sunroof.

In mine he went just over the first couple of rows of dots, and recommended not going farther because the tint may not look good (doesn't stick well there). The way mine is now, there's an outline around the tint on the rear window that's slightly lighter than the tint - looks fine to me. There is reputedly some 3M tape that can be used to black out that part.

Tint

I have 28% Formula 1 tint all around. Tinted right over the dots and it looks pretty good. If I had to do it over again, I'd probably go a little lighter like 35%. I say....be sure to go to a reputable shop and have it done. It's work the xtra $$. The dots can be tricky.

Phatman-I know, I would love to tint the fronts but I really don't want the hassle with the cops. It is illegal to tint the fronts at all and I really wanted to tint the rear windows mainly to keep it cool and to keep the sun out of my son's eyes when he's back there.

Tint

I got 35% all around including the sunroof.
The tint-man tried sanding down the black dots on the top of the rear window and it doesn't look good now, but if I had to do it over again, I'd do everything the same just rear window and sunroof 20%.
Good luck

im going to have to agree with the 5% limo people, although i dont have pics of my car right now

if you can get away with limo where you live, it cant be beat...the sun could be blazing down and you barely feel the heat on your skin...plus its fun to watch people stare at your car trying to see whos inside, but they cant

the shop i went to put some opaque 3M tape over the dot matrix to cover up any spots or bubbles on the inside, looks perfect unless you go right up to it and scrutinize, very seemless job...i was very happy with mine
