Would you guys be interested in 300zx Brake upgrade kit?89-01

My suppiler and I is thinking about offering 300zx upgrade kit for all year maxima. 89-01
The kit include A Front pair brand new 300zx 4 pistion caliper.A pair of Brembo Zinc plated front rotors(your choice of rotor) slotted, xdrill/slotted, dimpled, or dimpled/slotted. A pair of Axxis MM pads and SS lines all around.

My suppiler is going to test fit these on my 95 maxima in next week or so. After i'll let everyone know hows the installation go.

The price of the kit will be around $620-$640

If you are interested please post. No certain amount of people. So all you have to do is post or e-mail me to order.

This is not a group deal yet. I just want to see how many people is interested

thanks
jason

I'd be interested in just the front calipers if they fit the rotors. Also I was wondering if these were the same rotors that were in your previous GDs?

You have to use 300zx rotors to use the 300zx 4 piston caliper, i belive.
Yes these are also zinc plated rotors from brembo.

dont you have to shave the rotors down to make it fit? or does this just bolt right on?

Guys. I am not sure about the install yet, i have never done it before nore read anything about 300zx conversion. But my car will be going to the shop some time next week to test fit. Even if there is any shaveing invlove with the rotors. We'll do it before any of the kit goes out. So it will be easier for you guys to install. Another word Botle right on.

When i find out more information I'll make sure you guys know about it too

Im think I remeber reading for the 5th gen that there is some modding involved for the z brakes. Almost pos its not a direct fit for 5th gen.

Maybe is not direct fit, and I higly doubt that it will be a direct fit. But we will try our best to sell the set to be simple install as possible.

I know this for sure, once you put on the 300zx bracket, your, lines, rotors, pads have to be all for 300zx.

Let see how the install goes next week and i'll get back to you guys

Torrs, sorry I didn't know neither back than, my suppiler just told me this couple days ago

so i guess this is goin' 2 stay here 4 a long while??? i hope....i'm interested in gettin' the 300zx brake kit...but now i don't have the cash 4 it......and i read somewhere that for the 3rd gens...u have 2 drill out new holes on the caliper so they will fit good....i'll c if i an find it again......but i think it fits perfect on a 5th gen.....

so Jason....keep me updated on this.....if this is stayin' up 4 long

as far as the lines go, you can still use maxima brake lines, but might as well change them all out to SS lines. the caliper bolts straight up but because of the off set you would need to place washers behdind the bolt to space it out so the bolts won't run on the rotors. the lower control arm has to be trimmed so the rotor will not rub the control arm when you turn. the pads and rotors must be for the 300zx. 3mm has to be trimmed off the radius of the rotor or 6mm off the diameter, depending on how you want to calculate it. for more information on the brake conversion as refference please check out cheston's website at www.maximadriver.com look in the "how to's" section.

the price for the parts alone is real good. new callipers are not at all cheap. as long as they are the 91- (aluminum) 300zx then it's all good because the post 91 are all cast steel which are heavier. and also the TT caliper is thicker than the NA. when i first got mine they sent out one wrong one, and that's how i found out that there's a difference in thickness too.

You WILL have to do some modding to get it on. It will not be a bolt on kit. I have a write-up on it on my site.
You will have to machine the 300zx rotors and need a larger whell with more of a offset.

This deal will still stand but just not now. I talk to my supplier about it today. He told me this won't happen until the month of July which for sure it will. He keep his word always.

So After a month i will repost and give more details

again the price would be around $600-$640 haven't yet decided
so look for my updates

thanks

That will be a good price. Are you going to have the rotors cut down also? or will the consumer have to find a machine shop to do it for them.

He said the shop will mill the rotors before its shipped out.

How do you like this brake upgrade? Which pads are you using?

Right now, from what my supplier told me. Before we start selling them. We'll try our best to make no custom work invlove to make it fit for the customer. And that will include shaving the rotors, and so on.

The deal will happen as matter of time. Most likely some time during july.

I don't think that you will be able to get completely out of the custom work part. I have done this 6 times already and everyone has had at least one A-arm that had to be shaved on the car.

would your distributor be willing to sell half packages such as Calipers, SS lines, Pads only? No rotors. If so that would be great.
