try using a heat gun, apply it until the adhesive starts to melt and then pull it off. with the sticky residue left, use a bug and tar remover. the easiest way is by waiting for a 90+ degree day, no need for an external heating supply.

I did this not too long ago and it was indeed a ***** to do... I had to scratch off the surface of the pinstripe to make sure that i didn't scratch the paint, (thus all the stciky residue was still left on the car) and then after used Goo-gone to rub it away... Goo-gone works wonders in removing that crap from the car...

On some cars, the pin stripping is painted on.

I took the pinstriping of mine...I stood outside in a 90 degree day for about 2-3 hours...but much to my amazement, it came off fairly easy...be prepared for using a adhesive remover afterwards...man does the car look SO much better without it though!

I think that would be my car...

if you open up my driver side door you can see the stripe paint taper off... like paint spray style... so for sure mine is painted on

how would you recommend removing it in this case?

Big bottle of nail polish. Give the car a manicure...

inj3n...exactly how did you take off the black vinyl between the doors, and what is under the vinyl...I have a superblack maxima, so the black isn't that bad on mine, but was wondering if it has black paint under the vinyl (cause I am sure that would look much better)...thanks

It's the body color under the vinyl, there is a write up somewhere on how to do it, I think the way I did was different than the write ups. Kind of a pain to do, takes a while. Check my homepage to see how mine came out if ya want
