Keyless entry (remote) is giving me trouble.

My remote requires me to hold the unlock buttons for a real long time in order for it to work. I press it once, hold for like 3-4 secs then press and hold again and evil still I have to do it about 5-6 times inorder for the drivers door as well as the others to unlock. I have to hold the trunk for like 10 secs for it to open. I've tried replacing the battery and that helped none. Is there a way to get an inexpensive replacement? Also, what does the 4th button do? All my pictures have worn off do to usage. thanks

sorry to hear about the problems...other than replacing the battery I am unsure as to what you could do (short of replacing the whole thing)...but as to the 4th button...mine is a panic button to set off the alarm

darn, i was hoping i could avoid replacing it. Well does anyone know of a replacement other than going to a dealership? Not trying to pay to much just to get it to work.

Also, my key won't do anything other than start the car and open the passenger side door. It won'topen the drivers door or the trunk. Has my car been in an accident or something? This seems real weird to me.thanks

You can check the classifieds on here to see if anyone is selling one, or try ebay...I have seen them for sale fairly cheap.

You can easily get a key fob from ebay for as low as $20 from dealer it runs for around ~$120.

95-99 Nissan Key Fob

In order from left to right, top to bottom

--Lock/Alarm--
--Unlock Dr./Unlock All/Windows Down-- --Trunk Release--
--Interior Light* or Panic Alarm--

*On my original key fob(95), this button was an interior light button, when pressed the interior light would activate.
