Question for those who have gone from auto to five speed

Hi guys, my first question is what model do you have? Second, did you get any ECU codes? Third did you have to swap your ECU to get rid of your codes if you got any? And Fourth what ECU did you use to solve the problem?Thanx for all your help?

I have not done this mod (and have no plans to) but I can give you a little insight on your questions.

People have done this modification to GXEs, SEs, and GLEs.

If you do everything properly, I don't believe you will have a CEL.

Swapping your ECU to a manual one is what stops the CEL from lighting up, but people have run auto ECUs in manual cars and found power gains (you have to live with the CEL though).

You need a manual ECU from your segment of the 4th Gen run. I.e. if you have a 95-96, you need the corresponding auto ECU, and if you have a 97-99, you will need that version manual ECU.
