Hi quick question, as we all know the stock nissan maxima keyless entry rolls down the windows, does anyone know what wire sends the signal to roll the windows down and the polarity,etc. i have an avital remote start alarm installed, but i figured, i could just tap into the stock roll down feature without having to install the smart windows module, which i do also have.

second question, im going to be getting some shoes for my car this week, I am looking for some 19's. I love the look of "grown" rims on a car, 18's look kinda small/young. lol, im down here in miami, big rims are a must, 17's arent an option, 18's are possible, but 19's are in my blood. anyone know any deals on any 19's regular finish, chrome not necessary.

Last but not least, I am doing a custom fiberglass trunk enclosure for my car "maxine", and I am looking for some extreme bang, for spl basically. I was thinkin of going with six 12's mounted in the floor of the trunk. This isnt hard. as I have squeezed 4 12's in a jetta, doing about 159db, and 2 15's in a honda, they got stolen b4 i could test system. please help with suggestions for highest spl. I am still considering about 4 twelves, or atleast 3 15's. but right now in my design im looking at 6 twelves. here is my reason for the extreme decision.... "there is no replacement for displacement.". I am here to push AIR. lol.


Any help would be appreciated, I am no fool, so if u have knowledge about this stuff, like cubic feet and enclosure displacement...hey tell all.

 

If I don't Mistake the Avital alarm system is made by DEI. and there is modulator you could buy which by passes the factory windows roll down. It also makes your windows go up with one touch and roll down with one touch. i have that installed in my car. the model number is 530T. I like it a lot specially the one touch window role up. I have the Clifford Matrix RS3 installed so when I lock my doors it will rolle all windows up, its good if you forget and you won't get rain in the car. and i am sure you could do that with avital.

 

hmm, is the a module i can buy for the stock remote system that would roll all the windows up when I like the doors. That would be awesome, you wouldn't believe how many time I cut the car off and forget to roll the rear windows up. It can be a pain getting back in just to do so.

 

Ok, as I stated I do already have the Smart Windows module, with the one touch window up/down, feature, but I am interested in setting up the roll down, with the factory roll down wire, do u catch my drift, i just want to be able to tie in to one wire if possible, instead of me having to splice all of the power window wires in the door, and run all of the wires from the module, thru the body, thru the fender and into the door. lol. its time consuming. bump.

 

I have a 96 gle with the factory alarm and keyless entry.

How do i make the window roll down from the remote ?

hold down the unlock button...and before everyone else jumps in telling you that you can roll down all the windows by holding down both the lock and unlock button....oh nevermind

 

thanks romeo !!! When i help down the unlock button the 2 fron windows would roll down untill i let go of the button.

Were you kidding about all 4 windows rolling down ? I tried holding both buttons but i must have done it wrong.

I browsed through the owners manuel and didn't find that feature. May have been looking too fast.

First off i changed my alarm and i lost the window feature but got remote start. so we couldn't get the damn window feature to work off the accessory button. oh well.

He said he wants high SPL. Get some IDMAX V3 Dual 2. Put a huge mono block class D 2000 watt RMS amp and you've got yourself some serious sound deadening to do. You can PM me and ask me some stereo questions if you desire.

BTW your front stage is more important than subs come on. don't you want to hear the music?

As far as audio is concerned if you really want to put 6 12's in your trunk and you have a ton of cash to spend, you can cut that 6 to 3 12's by just getting 3 Diamond Audio 12" TDX subs. These subs cost about $500 - $600 each but they produce the same sound as 2 12's by another company so with this setup you can save some space in your trunk. Also you will have to be sending at least 1000 watts to each sub to get them to hit hard. Just my .02 . Lata.

 

if big rims are in your blood then go with 20's. it can be easily done and it won't look ridiculous.

 

Ok I'm a baller on a budget with a crazy mind I have seen these audiobahn dvc subs for 39.99 a piece, so Im gonna try to get 6 of those., I had them in 15 inches before, and loved em, but someone loved them more than me and stole em. lol. As far as the rims BULLJIVE I love your rims, but right now, im interested in the Alessio F1 rims, to me they look hot, and I should be picking up a set this weekend in 19". But noone has answered my question. I mean does anyone get my concept of the question as far as the alarm window roll down goes.?? I kno someone out there atleast has an idea of what I am speaking about. I will be posting pics of my car hopefully within a few months, so be patient. plans for the future are:

19 inch wrapped in 225-35-19
full kit, custom front, and vis sides and rear,
nissan 350z blue, matchin interior
looking to do an airbag setup having the rear tuck atleast.
underhood performance work.
5 spd tranny swap.

doo-doo brown/tan interior
shaved emblems, debadged grill, shaved antenna. 2 pioneer 12's.

some other subs to look into are eclipse ti's or re xxx (www.respl.com) audiobahn is JUNK!!! they sound good but don't last very long unless u feed them HALF their rated power.

 

Six 12's???? you will crack your winshields and blow your trunk open. Also losen every damn screw in your trunk while your at it. I got 10's right now.. and my plastic cap that cover the magnet on my bose 6 x 9's has came off just by 10's! 6 twelves??? b00mness. Im bout to put 2 JBL 1200.1 Amps and 2 audiobahn flame 1100 Watt subs in my car.. 1000 watts each.. and thats almost pushing it! try it out tho man.. Letme know how it goes.. Good luck to you

 

Thanks guys, I am going to try to finish up the fiberglass spare tire enclosure this weekened, and place my order for my 19's. and then I will be researching on my body kit and interior paint / die. and an amp to power those beast. one last thing, has anyone done a rear fold down seat??? or know any car that has a similar sized rear seat where i can just transplant maybe with little work???. because i know personally when you let the backseat down, you feel the bass even more, i know this cuz i had my honda before, always used to ride with the backseat down like my car was a 2 seater...

bump, means to bump this thread back to the top of the list for more exposure. I understand ur frustration, I am trying to make the windows roll down, with that one wire, instead of having to install the whole module, even thoughe the latter wont be a bad idea neither.

Hello, I hope this e-mail reaches you since the org changed owners I get half of my replies. I'm selling 4-19x8 in TSW Spindles, see them on Tires.com 35mm offset The tires are Nitto Extremes 555r's. The combination gives a aggresive appearance due to the 35mm offset is the max you can go without rolling your fenders. They sit flush with the fenders. The wheels and tires have less then 200miles. I ordered a new car and It came in early and when I traded in my Maxima they didn't want to negotiate the 19in wheel and tire difference, so I removed them and they are wrapped in plastic in my garage. The total price I paid was 1869.00 that's with 80.00 dollar lugs. I'm asking 1450.00. These rims and tires are flawless. The color is Hyper silver. D1 I live in miramar and carol city. ugly burgandy max, i got my 19's on saturday. i just need some tires, and drop, then the kit and we will go from there..... umm in reply to the nimsta, going to the dealership would be defeating the purpose, and besides most of those guys are there cuz they need jobs, if they didnt have the computer in front of them, they wouldnt kno the difference between a knock sensor, and a O^2 sensor. reminds me of those burger king workers, just pushing those little buttons on the register's with the pictures beside them.

having 6 12s is a bit rediculous. also if so much of your stuff has gotten stolen before...why are you buy all this expensive stuff and not buying a good car alarm. also i would reccomend you get your audio stuff insured. sounds like you want to throw 3k into audio..then insure the ****er! i think it would be stupid not to. 19s are sexy. can't wait to see your car all done up!

 

I did have an alarm, but at the time, my avital 6500 remote started alarm brain went haywire. so i had ordered another one, and within the 2 weeks my alarm was down(i even had a keyless entry on there that chirped the siren) my car got broken into. and then was when i was living in "the hood" temporarily, with no garage. but now im back home in the garage every nite, my alarm is back up, and functional. Miami is home of everything ridiculus. i mean 24" rims and tires, 12 tvs in a maxima. ive seen it, i've seen 22's on a maxima. incredible paint jobs. at least 4-8 twelves in the trunks of those big chevy's. 6 wont be ridiculus, i think it will be amazing.

I lived in miramar for a year.... its ghetto. My sister went to UM and it was pretty nice.

 

Ok this is in reply to my original post about finding a trigger wire to put down the front windows via the cars own built in controller. well since no one here has any knowledge of this, or the determination, i tried diagnosing and tracing wires with my test light. and what i learned cost me a drivers door unit. its called an LCM, i figured out that the max has what is called an In Vehicle Multiplexing System IVMS, which is a data bus, between the BCM(body control module), PCM(Powertrain Control Module, and several other LCM's(local control modules), the keyless entry system sends a digital signal to the bcm, which in turn sends a digital binary signal to the correct component. so therefore, if you were to try and tap into a say "wire" in the drivers door, you would only see data input wires, and actual output wires for the windows, etc. but if someone else here is up for the challenge, please help me see if i can find the wire in the bcm if it is possible to get to it before it gets to be LCM's, or if is just possible to help with a schematic of the drivers door LCM, so maybe i can wire up something on the output side with some diodes and relays, and make those windows come down?

btw, Ohannon7, it depends where you live in miramar, if you live east it might be ghetto, which still aint nothin, broward doesnt have anything on the real ghetto's in miami, but i live out west with the ballers, like trick daddy, some baseball playa for the marlins, and the nine... my peeps house cost over $340K, definitely not ghetto as far as me this sayin is still tru.
