chipped hood... YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!
chipped hood... YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!
Went to Nissan parts counter today and saw a deep green SE, '00 or '01 in the lot. As I walked by I couldn't believe how many paint chips it had in its hood. It had maybe 100-200 1mm x 1mm chips down to the gray primer on the hood extending from the nose almost to the windshield. You've got to be kidding. If my '03 SE is going to look like that in 2-3 years then I clearly bought the wrong car. No wonder the finance guy gave me the hard sell on paint treatment and warranty! Something about no lead paint and how the warranty would pay to re-paint the car if there was ever a problem. Great, just what I want is " free fresh paint" on a 2 year old car. Is the Maxima the only Datsun with this problem? Why would that be?
