Autometer Bulb Change ...

Has anyone had a problem changing the wedge bulb on the autometer guages? I cant get the bulb out. Am I doing something wrong?

Any suggestions on getting the bulb out?

Thanks,

Ed

I tried forever trying to get it out. But, lol, just keep pulling. It will eventually wedge out. Try wiggling and pulling with a pair of pliers with a soft cloth as to not break the bulb and the socket.

mine come out very easy...a lot depends on how you orient the gauge relative to how you view it normally...

mine are straight on as seated in DS chair...and the bulbs come out very easy.

Are you having probles removing the bulb from the connector itself, or removing the black connecter from the back of the gauge? If it's still in the gauge you have to twist to remove the connector. Then just pull the bulb. Sorry if you already knew that, but I wanted to make sure the bulb is already accessible for you.

I just used my shirt to get better grip on the bulb and pulled it out of the connector. you can't really use your bare hands, too moist.
