I use Production Car Care products. My family sold the stuff for about 20 years, it's what all the good dealerships and detail shops around here use, even still after we sold our distrobution business.

I normally use a carnuba paste for waxing.

There not that great of a shots(I only have miniDV camcorders), but the finish is good enough to see all the crap in my garage.

Pinnacle Souveran and S100/P21S

The attached is a Pinnacle Souveran shot. I prepped the surface by claying and using Klasse All In One.

well, wax is not what makes your car shiny so a pic doesnt really do justice. Wax just protects your paint.

....And that was without a wax. I don't think it's the wax that makes the car look good. I think it's the care that was provided to the car that makes it look good.

I used the mcguire's paint cleaner, polish, then used the mcguire's gold class wax, all in liquid form. The results were fantastic! Like running your hand over a sheet of glass. Anyways well see how long it lasts.

Hey DanNY,

The autopia folks say that p21s is the same thing as s100, a Harley wax. The only difference is that the p21s is more expensive. I actually use Meguiar's Yellow #26, but I figure this might save you a few duckets.

It's all in the prep and how good it looks before waxing. A showroom-perfect paint job covered in Turtle Wax will look better than swirled up, dull paint covered in Zaino.

Besides, cars always look nicer in pictures than real life.

I used Zymol Cleaner Wax for the first time last Sunday. I am not sure if I really like it. Your suppose to take it off before it dries. I think that it kinda harder to take off than something generic, like Raindance.

Made my Super Black Max shine pretty good though. Not sure how good or long it will bead water. I'll find out soon. It been a rainin' like every week here.

In addition to the carnuba and bees wax, it also contains stuff like banana, almond and coconut extract. Smells good anyway. I would like to try a Polimer like Zaino, maybe, after I use up this stuff. Lots of great reviews, I see.

To answer your question; in my opinion Zaino cannot be f-ed with. But I had satisfactory results with Meguiars gold.

i use Ibiz wax. in my opinion, it is very easy to remove, and it leaves a great shine, in addition to removing minor hazing. it made my aunts 13 year old black nissan truck look 7 years old. i love the stuff. when i finish detailing my car, ill post pics.

in the 14 year lifespan of my max, its gotten Turtle wax the whole time. last time I waxed it (3 days ago) I used Turtle Wax Zip wax additive in my water, then turtle waxed it and buffed. looks nice an glossy. the pic in my sig is 16 bit and looks like shat, car looks wayyyy better than that.

You know, one thing I forgot to mention is that if a car is washed and cared for carefully and properly, or simply well-polished and de-swirled, even a "cheap" product like Turtle Wax can make a car look good because the paint underneath looks so great already. Put Turtle Wax on a brand new 6th Gen and it'll still look awesome. Put Zaino or Klasse on uncle Jesse's 19-whatever haywagon and it'll still look like Mad Max...

It's all in the prep.

Stuff like Turtle Wax & Rain Dance will give as good of inital shine as Zaino & Klasse, but you won't have the same shine after 2 or 3 washes. I use Zaino on my Max & Klasse AIO & SG on my mother's 300m and they both look about the same after the 2nd or 3rd wash.

I personally use Zaino. Love the stuff. Probably stuck for life. I dont have pics but check this site out. Gives a great comparison of Zaino and Carnauba wax http://bimmerfest.org/forums/showthr...threadid=16287

scroll half way down and look at the difference at the hood shots.

Bear in mind, Klasse, Zaino, Blackfire, and Platinum are all polymers. I think the poster is curious about carnuba waxes.

I do NOT agree with this, but it depends on what standards you are going for.

Once you get into the quality stuff, it's pretty much just a matter of choice...what you want the car to look like. I definitely agree that the longevity of the good stuff is much better though.

Mr.Myagi secret....

wax on , wax off ......

Mequiar's Deep Crystal 3 step , done quite few times in last few months
their #3 wax is soooo easy to take off
and don't wait until it hazes - just put it on with right hand , and take it off with left - thus giving great shine , without wax build up

Nick.
