Don't race her. Look, you're very likely top win. However, in a 6 speed, there is always the chance to mess up the launch or miss a shift.

You do NOT want to lose a car race to your wife. Next thing you know, you'll be having races to see who can roof the house fastest.

And if you lose, she WILL tell your friends. Have fun living that one down.

Its the 220 hp V6, right? Those cars are fat pigs (about 4k lbs). You should have no problem. Just make sure the race is at least a 1/4 mi so if you screw up the launch you can reel her in. Show your wife who the boss is

If she knows how to drive, then you know she's gonna launch well with that quattro awd. However, you'll fly right back past her once you get to 2nd Oh and don't race her in the rain for obvious reasons... Especially if you still have stock potenzas...

I still say, "don't do it."

You lose, and it's manhood jokes for a year.

You win, and you picked on a chick.

Wait I think we are missing an important fact...

The guy has a wife that wants to race him?!!

I would just consider yourself lucky that you have a woman that enjoys driving enough that she (I am assuming) choose an awesome sports sedan, is a GOOD driver (no offense maxi-ladies, the same applies to you) and want to RACE you!

Does she have any single sisters by chance?

BTW, go ahead and race her

Wow, I bet he hadn't considered that until you were so kind as to bring it up.. Hey, get some video footage of this race and the drama that ensues shortly thereafter.

i race my girlfriend in her corolla now and again. i never bring it past like 45 though, i dont want her in real danger. i just think its cute when she gets all upset when i beat the crap out of her(in the race) and she acts like she didnt know it was going to happen. one day i want to take her corolla and she drive my max and see if i can beat her. i think that would be fun. she would prolly just floor it and spin the tires for 5seconds and then run off the road from torque steer

Convince her to let one of your male friends drive her car. Then be careful with the launch, make sure it's more than 1/4 mile, and smoke the Audi.

Oh, I can see the Audi fans coiming on this thread about their superior quality, vault-like Owdies, how wonderful and perfect they are. I think it's wonderful when they look at your tail lights. Or when you drive by the repair shop when they are getting their water pumps replaced at 80K.

I would own a Maxima over any Audi besides their absolute best: the S4, A8, etc. From my experience and of those that I know, Audi's are sweet cars (damn they know how to do interiors) but even the newest Audi's aren't as reliable as 10 year old Nissans or Hondas. One friend of mine just got rid of his lemon A4 through a dealer buyback and another is having engine heat and oil leak problems on a car with less than 100,000 miles. For the first year or two or three, they are usually great cars though and it is apparent that Audi has made some advances in building a more overall reliable car.

Engine overheating, and leaking oil? How sweet is that? Fuhgetabout the interior, you can have it. I'll take the Max any day.
