people with ACTs...how do you launch???
I am still trying to figure out the best way to launch my car with my ACT. I used to stage at about 2500rpm and then feather my clutch when I had the stock clutch.
So far with ACT the only way that I have found to launch effectively (keeping in mind that I have only been to the track twice with the clutch) at the track is to stage at 3,000 rpm and then drop it much quicker than stock. What happens as you know with the clutch you cant really halfway engage it, it is either engaged or not engaged, so the RPMs drop immediately to about 2,000 rpm and I think that is where I leave the line at. I get a little wheelhop/spin and then I take off. A few times I've had to throttle the gas accordingly to how much I was spinning. Because I left the line not spinning but then when the RPMs got to about 4,000 rpm I would start spinning through redline. i think that might be due to my newly installed UDP...
what do you guys do with yours? what do you think about what I am doing?

I have the ACT for awhile now (5k miles) and I've only tried it on the streets. Never really tested it out at the track. But on the streets I hold it around 3300rpms and aggressively slip the clutch. Not exactly a drop or feather but more of inbetween the two. As the RPMs drop cuz of the hard-grabbing ACT, I gas it more so I don't bog off the line. My tires spin pretty much all of 1st gear until 4700-4800 RPMs.
i have found the most effective way to launch at the track on an ACT is feathering it at 4800rpm .. but this is very BAD on the clutch, heats it up too much, you can smell clutch from the stands, and under my hood for an hour.
soo , my alternative is a pretty-fast release from 3400rpm, not dumped but bringing it out fast.
both ways I am consistently 2.1 60's on all-season tires+stock wheels, but with the feather method I have seen 2.0x's more than once.
