Saw a post a moment ago where someone was saying he didn't believe that stock shocks would hold up with the Teins since it is a low drop. I want to go ahead and put my teins on, but it will be about 2-3 months before I have enough money for the KYBs. Should I wait? I really dont want to , but if the car wont hold them, I dont have any other choice.

Stock shocks will hold up teins, but will blow after awhile....

so save yourself time and money, get Toks...

 

or KYB GR2s!

 

It will be very bouncy. If you can live with that then go for it.

 

you can put them on if you want but your shocks wont last long. If you're doing the install yourself, I say go for it. But if your paying someone to do it, I say wait til you get your shocks or else you're going to pay for labor twice.

 

Thanks for the info guys... Yea, i'm going to install them myself. I plan to get the GR-2s in about 2 months. So roughly 3000 more miles. The car itself has 22k, so hopefully they'll last that long

 

It wont last too long. Dont make this mistake and get struts be4 hand. Your gonna have to do it twice then and waste the OEM struts while your at it. They do not have enough force to dampen the Teins and you'll be bouncin all over the place. I have Tein/Tok combo and the ride is stiff but bearable.
