Shipping a body kit?

How do you guys handle shipping of a body kit? I'm trying to sell my skyline front, but UPS, fedex, airborne online calculators say that the package is to large. Do you have to physically carry the body kit to these places to get a price estimate, or will dimensions be enough(how would you weigh one of these suckers?) Thanks.

There is a way to ship it thru Fedex, althogh Fedex has size limit of 130" length+girth. Where are u shipping it to?
Worst case, you will have to use freight, but it will cost ya alot.At a body kit store they use boxes with the dimension 78x22x29. a fiberglass front bumper(not including the weight of the box) should be around 15 lbs.

Have UPS or Fedex pick it up from your house. You won't be able to fit that box in a max, unless you have a pickup truck. Measure the box and call them up for a price quote.

Alright, why is it always turning out to be around 300 dollars on their online calculator? Is it really that much? Also, what does class mean?

Greyhound all the way. Yes, the bus company. I shipped a front lip and some headlights for 30 bucks and it arrived the next day. Just make sure the buyer has a bus stop in their area and you are good to go

I agree with Klown. If the location is not too far, that will be the cheapest way to go! Unless you have a friend with a business account to any of the shipping companies, its going to be expensive. I used to work at a body kit store and we charged 120-160 for shipping a bumper.

here are some frieght companies you can try:

EDI Express

Central Transport

I shipped from TX to Mississippi through Greyhound. Just go by there and ask them what they can do. I know DA-MAx shipped from MD to TX so they go everywhere.
