warspeed Y-pipe Y Bpipe 20hp gain? 2k2-2k3...
warspeed Y-pipe Y Bpipe 20hp gain? 2k2-2k3...
Can anyone in here attest to these warpspeed claims? Or claim/experienced a significant gain? Thinking about it w/a stock muffler and resonator- any info will be appreciated

Don't know for sure about the B-Pipe, but I think it helps a little. I still don't think you'll come out to 20 though. I have a 2K so I'm not up on the benefits of a B-Pipe for your car.

an aftermarket cat help pass the gases faster?
[snicker]I know why the Y pipe doesn't show any gains. It actually shows a loss. And I know why!!![/snicker]
The problems with the Y pipe not showing any gains are as follows:
1) Unequal pipe length.
2) The O2 sensor for the rear bank actually gets mounted into the front pipe... This is why no gains are shown. This throws off the air/fuel mixture because no reading is being made off the rear bank. I found this out when I had my 02 on the rack the other day. I've got a call into WSP to see what they say about this.
3) O2 sensor placement... Even if it were placed in the correct pipe of the Y, the location of the sensor isn't within 1/16 of an inch from the stock distance. This causes the readings to be taken at the wrong section of the Y pipe, which throws off the air/fuel mixture (see #2). I'm calling about this too.
I've got the specs from a shop here about how to fix it, I just need to see if it's possible (the local shop couldn't make the necessary bends), and to see what WSP says about it.
I'll post a new thread when I know more.
