let him start the car and listen to the blower....if it is making loud grinding noise, you will soon spend 300 dollars on rebuild.

my used blower has more than 40k miles from the previous 2 owners.

15K is nothing.. Blowers will last a while.. Those 15K are probably most highway miles.. And if you just crusing like at 3K rpm you'r hardly boosting at all..

Make sure that the bearing aren't shot as mentioned; most importantly, if you are gonna buy it, make sure you are getting ALL of the brackets, fittings, hoses etc.... it's a ***** to go and find all of those things yourself.

As seximagtr said I would make sure you have all the hardware to install. If not it is very difficult to get all the parts that you need.

Maybe it's just me but I hate buying anything used. And when it is something so crucial as an SC, it would have to be 50% the price of a new one for me to take the chance. And from what I have seen, used SCs always seem to go for high $2000s. When you can get a new one for low $3000s, I just don't get it.

Resale value for used Maxima SC kits does seem high, maybe because Stillen is the only source for new ones. But I have no regrets for buying a used kit and saving $1000. The ones going for the high $2k's usually have all the additional accessories like gauges and Walbro pump, etc., which can add up pretty quick if you buy them new.
