Hurrryyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's up guys, I order my wheels and tires on Monday and can't wait for them to get here. (I hate waiting) I went with the 17 inch enkei RSF-2's and Nitto Nt 450 Extreme Performance tires 225/45ZR-17. I'll post pics as soon as I get them and get my dig cam working again. Sorry, I just had to tell someone about my purchase.

225-45-17s are just tad on the small side but of you had to run high offsets, then I can see why it was done. Enjoy them!

Will they be to small? I know just about nothing when it comes to offsets and tire sizes, but tire rack recommended the 225/45/17's whenever I typed in the info for the Max. ( I ordered them through discount tire, though) I hope I didn't mess up.

Your tires will make your speedo read 2% too fast. A 235-45-17 will make your speedo read only 0.6% too fast. No big deal but the 235 is closer to the original 205-65-15 stock tire size.

Oh, the only thing that sucks, is that I checked the tracking systme on UPS.com and the wheels will be delivered on Friday. I have to work 7:30-4:00 on Friday and I know I've seen the UPS truck driving around my neighborhood at 11:30 in the afternoon. So, now I think I might have to wait until Monday to go down to the shipping plant and pick them. Which really sucks because my tires on my stock wheels are almost completely bald.

If you ask to pick them up at the ups place, it might arrive there sooner, thus being able to pick them up on Fri

the ups customer counter is open until 7pm, so what you can do is call 800-pick-ups and ask them to hold the shipment at the customer counter for you, if they don't leave the wheels at your house. you can also leave a note on the door on friday asking the driver to leave them at XXX location (behind house, with neighbor, etc) and they usually don't have a problem doing that... in the case they don't leave them, you can call the 800 number above or the one listed on the little delivery attempt (yellow) note they leave behind and have them leave the stuff at the customer counter at UPS to pick up. the building is located about 61st and garnett. turn east on 58th street off garnett and follow the street around.. you'll see the signs on the building (and my car out front if you go after 4:30.)

Thanks Matt, I just talked to the my Manager here and she is going to let me leave a noon (since I'm on salary it doesn't matter to me) so I might be able to get home before the UPS guy gets there. But I'll leave a note on the door like you said and we'll see. Hey, I might even try to stop buy the UPS center any way to show you my new shoes. I have to roll to pepboys anyway to finally get my Max aligned.

*edit* Matt, I think I'm going to stop by Nelson Nissan on the way home today to pick up that front seal that you were talking about. (For my oil leak) When do you think you would be available to help me out on that? Or do you think I can do it myself? I already changed my blets.

Unless you've got an impact wrench and some big sockets, you're not going to get the crank pulley off by yourself.

As for when I can do it, it's all kinda up in the air right now.. this weekend is the 1 yr anniv with wife 1.0, so I can't even THINK about cars this weekend... (too bad there's a high speed touring event at Hallet on Sat and an auto X on Sun!).. Next weekend I'm planning on being out of town if Kelly can get off- if not, I've got a guy coming over for some other engine work on Sat, and I don't know how long that will take. Sunday is open if I stay here in down...

busy busy busy!

FYI, I work in the BACK of the building at UPS.. I'm not anywhere near the front counter, unless I have a problem with a box they sent me.

Got my wheels in the mail yesterday, installed and they look awesome. I will post some pics after I get off work, for some reason the car domain will only let me login from home.
