headers, y-pipe, b-pipe?

I know that y-pipes and b-pipes are the craze for 00-01 but what about obx headers? Do i need a y-pipe if i get the headers? What are the benefits of the headers(i.e. pre-cat removal)? I know that the y-ipe removes a pre-cat but is the difference that noticeable with headers. I mean they are $500. I can think of some other things I can do with that..pulley, 1/2 body-kit, flywheel. I know a bpipe is a must so I not worried about that just whats the info on headers?
