Yup.. but the paint match wasn't entirely the body shops fault..

I fukked up because i didn't want to leave the car there.. and thus the whole body kit needs to be colour matched by leaving my car there... so they offered to re do it (less of course the cost of materials) which is good of them, but i don't feel like wasting anymore time and effort on this $hit body kit.. And i eagerly wait until the next body kit comes out

if you plan to wait for a decent kit? do you plan on keeping that fugly thing on there or going back to stock?

IMO go back to stock! at least for the sake of the car...people will laugh

Sorry to hear that. Those are the worst, you can't wait to get it done and then it doesn't live up to expectations, in this case not even close. I was never a fan of that kit to begin with, but I feel for you man.

haha That body shop screwed you over! You dont need your car there so they can colormatch the paint, all the body shop needs is the paint code off of your car. If they wouldve gotten the paint code, it wouldve matched and you still could have kept from leaving your car there. ALSO I got my kit painted at the nissan dealership..try that next time...

Those vent visors look damn good. Kit isn't too bad but I hate how you can see the little circle dials on the sides.

and the back bumper with some modification... could look good too...
I think I am going to experiment with this kit... they sell them on ebay for 350-450... i might just buy it and experiment with it. I have a good friend that owns a body shop... he does some custom work on the kits like molding out something that doesn't look right and makes a ugly looking kit into a hot custom kit...

I did give them the colour code, and the colour code on the PPG paint materials was confirmed..

This isn't the first time.. Some nissan paints like my moms 99 Maxima PEARL WHITE, and my 2k3 Sheer silver is very very hard to match in colour.

They offered to fix it (although they are not 100% liable) because th factory pain was off, but i dont' care, i dont think this kit will stay too long on my car.. once i find a better body kit, this one is going in to the dumpster.

Ouch! Seems like you don't have too much luck with your Maxima, Ed. That paint match is pretty bad.

BTW, are you lowered in the front? Looks like you have a lot of wheel gap up there.

To answer the questions..

In the pic, my car was not lowered.. i have a system in the trunk that dropped the rear 1" and raised the front.

2nd. The paint code from NISSAN is never correct ... with my moms 99 Max SE... even with the paint code, it never appeared correct.. had it painted 3 times and finally matched..
I saw the cans, it was the actual paint code however, you can actually change the hues slighty by teh application of the paint.

3rd Finally, the rear end was cracked up, and the brackets are broken... the side skirt was smashed up by me because i lowered the jack without the tire on by accident, and the front bumper is cracked from rocks hitting it on the highway..

lol...sorry to hear of all those problems. When I got hit, I opted to get another stock bumper, since the Sarona/Kombat and Stillen big mouth were my only options
