I made the Auto -> 5spd 'Conversion!'
I made the Auto -> 5spd 'Conversion!'
Woohoo,
Today (Sat.) I traded in my pearl white 96 GLE w/partial SE conversion (done by the last guy who owned it), 114 kms, for a 96 pearl white SE, 5 spd 113 kms.
I had to pay ~$1100 Cdn, but that is way less than the conversion cost. I got the nifty white gauges, less rattles, better sunroof cover, sawblades, newer tires, better brakes, no shimmy at 100km/h, less used Bose system, all leather (same as before), no cheap-@ss looking wood trim, no pinstripe. I also was allowed to transfer my FSB and Home Depot HAI over to the new machine.
I need to get the Armor-All off the gauge cover, clean the throttle body, and check the plug condition but I am EXTREMELY
happy with the purchase!
Woohoo, no more Auto-Tragic!
Cheers,
Matt
