i got a pair of Tenzo' R - gunmetal rims with a fat ( not phat ) - but width wise chrome lip on them, they look pretty damn good for FWD rims - but that was Definatly RICE! - lowering and carbonfibering and body modifying an import constitutes rice - besides whats up with the carbon fiber hoods they only reduce the weight by like 15lbs which is roughly .015 off in the quartermile - so if the damn car runs a 14.75 he will be running a 14.735 - which leads me to the point - why the HELL pay 600 bucks for that - get nitrous.

Well honestly buying a carbon fiber hood is a personal opinion. I like the look of it and the fact that its lighter is just a bonus but thats just me. anyways whats the stock hood weight?

No offense Irvine, but those gunmetal wheels look like absolute hell on the white car. I'm glad you got rid of them.

I just think gunmetal wheels would look good on the grey car because of the color match but I have yet to see any pictures so i'm don't want to go out and spend a couple grand and end up getting something that looks like s***.

Just make sure you get a machined (shiny) lip and they will look great. Check out these cars to get an idea:

"lowering and carbonfibering and body modifying an import constitutes rice"

by that comment i new it had to come from a newbie... When it comes down to it, if you are a True enthusiast and a real racer, weight has to do with alot, not everything but alot.... why do you think a h22 hatch can keep up with a Z28,,, simply Weight...

now in our cars, we are heavy too, if 15pounds is what I can shave off to get me going faster, then Carbon Fiber hood it is... Do you know anything about it?....Spoon Cars and Mugen Cars use it all the time... I guess you wouldn't know about it... And real Nismo Cars GTR in Japan have Carbon hoods too, some have carbon lips carbon fiber fenders..., its all about weight.... Ricey, that word is use to often to get away that the fact that some people don't know what it really means... Ricey can mean a double winged spoiler on a Hatch, not a OEM carbon hood.

and to the comment about Body modifying constitutes Rice, then I guess whoever has a body kit is Ricey...you really don't make sense!!!!!

you should watch how you use the word Ricey.... Imports are the shiettt... but without modification to a Car, then you will just look like everyone on the road... stop hating and just keep your RIcey comments to yourself....

Bling Bling....... but thats just me... I like those Voxx in the above pic too... I like the Hyperblack look kinda like our factory rims.. I wish our rims were 17x8's instead of 7's.. When I dropped my car my factory rims looked so stupid on my car.. They were tucked in so far it was ridiculous.. I wish they made the rim I got in an 8.5... But all in all I'm very satified.. It's amazing how the car handles now... Night and day difference...

When my Miata was white, I slapped on some 17" Tenzo Mean-6 in gunmetal. I planned on painting the car silver, so I thought I was all set. Ended up going with an '02 Ford color, "Dark Shadow Gray Pearl Metallic", and to my amazement it now looks like I did it to EXACTLY match the body color - they are that close. I HATE the way it looks, but I just LOVE the rims, so now I need to find another car to put those rims on which will also give me an excuse to get YET ANOTHER set of rims for the Miata (that would be like the 5th set for that car )

Anyway, my point is of the 2 you mentioned, I'd suggest Hyper Black on a gray car - basically the darker the better IMHO.

I think they look as hell on silver, black or gray cars, and of course less weight up front is a good thing, but on other colors (like white) it can look a little like they just haven't gotten their new parts painted yet. Then again, they could just paint the CF. Then again AGAIN, that is a few ounces of paint just addin weight
