RSB / emergency brake line

I just installed the progress RSB. The ] racket is too close to the emergency brake line screw which I have no choice to adjust the positioning of the ] racket. I screwed back the emergency brake line and am worry that it will somehow damage the emergency brake line. Should I screwed it back all the way or I should screw it back half way? If I leave the screw half way, I am worried that one day the screw may fall off.

I believe the brake lines are cable lines for the handbrake. The lines he's talking about don't carry fluid. The fluid bearing lines run inside the body of the car. So I wouldn't worry about them too much. Just bolt everything back up without kinks.

Are you worried that the screws may fall off over time?

When I first saw this thread, I got up and went outside to take a picture. I came back inside and my internet connection was all of a sudden down.

Anyway, move the bracket a bit. Get a spacer and a longer screw if you have to so that you clear the bracket. Here's a pic of my setup...

(If you've already solved your problem, well...better late than never I guess.)

I had the same problem with my 96 GLE with ABS........

I actually had to cut the bracket that holds the ABS sensor wire in half to get the RSB bracket to fit.

I just routed it along with the E-brake cable around the bracket for the RSB

Nice job and thanks for the pic.

Where did you get the spacer the screw? What size is the screw and how long are the spacer and the screw? Thanks.

I don't know exactly. Both the screw and the spacer came from the Stillen RSB kit. The spacer is roughly an inch long. The screw is probably an inch and a quarter long.
