If it is brand new... maybe Stongard or tint.

First get all the small mods: clear corners, tint, red/clear tail lights, front strut bar, intake.

Then get yourself a good system.

Then get some real mods...drop (new struts/springs), 18" wheels, and a body kit.

Then you're set!

Insurance???

The previous posts listed a bunch of good stuff. My first mods were clear corners, FSTB and some PIAA bulbs for the interior and clearance lights.

First I got tints then strut bar and I just got clear corners. I've had the car for 2 years and have no idea why I waited so long for the clears. I'd definitely do clears first because they are really cheap and make the car look so much better from the front

things to buy, in order: clear corners, fstb, struts and springs, rsb, intake, ypipe, exhaust

things do do yourself (assuming 97-99) clear taillights, polish/claybar/war exterior

that's the most important...after that,

5 speed: mevi, jwt ecu, sts, clutch
auto: vb mod, ecu, mevi

my mods went like this:

System, Strobes, FTSB, Drop, Clear corners, Tint

It all depends what year maxima you're getting. are you getting a gen6 (2004)? A gen 5 (2000-2002)? A gen 4 (1995-1999)?

Get the maxima a good driver. Let me know how much your parents are buying the car for and is it manual or auto. I would like to purchase it.

I think the best thing you can put on your car to make it look beter is a good set of rims.

^ Not if you don't drop it withing 15 minutes of putting the rims on, heh. My car looked like total as s before I did the suspension. How much money do you plan on spending to mod the car? What are you goals, (fast sleeper, or show car, or both?)

yea, get FSTB, clear bumpers, drop....either drop or fstb first so that you can feel the difference the fstb makes. i dropped my car and got fstb all at the same time so i didn't really know which one made more of a difference.

What's funny about this thread to me is how many of you guys actually responded with your comments on what she should do to her car. If that was a guy newbie asking that same question the replies would've looked more like "STFU you NOOB" or "Why don't you use the SEARCH FEATURE Jacka$$" or "If you have to ask that question you should'nt own a maxima you tard" or something like that. But since it's a chick, it's like "Oh, well I think you should..."
