Anyone aware of this? I wanted to put an extra set of fog lights up front as I do a lot of highway driving and my factory fogs are not enough. I live in upstate NY. Thanks.

 

Where in Upstate NY do you live? I used to live in Poughkeepsie. I haven't heard of any rules that prohibit aux lights, just watch the wattage. I would recomend Catz lights, I have the MSXs on my car. Are you looking for driving(farther throw) or fog(closer to car but more side throw). I had fogs when I lived in NY and just recently changed to hyperwhite driving MSX. Check out their products at http://www.Fet-usa.com, they also show the different patterns of beams so you can chose.

I can't speak for NY, but here in TX you can't have an extra set of fogs *on* while in the city. I have an extra set of fogs, but I rarely use them. When they're on they do look cool though Also if you do get a ticket for the extra lights you will probably just get a cheap repair ticket. Remove the lights clear the ticket and put them back on again

I live in brooklyn and i always see cars with more than one pair of fog lights.

 

there is a law here in ny stating you cannot have more than 6 lights on the front of the car. you can add you extra fogs but after that don't add anymore and you will be fine.

 

yeah, most of the oklahoma city cops are hella cool. if you go to my web site with my maxima pics, you can see that i have 2 sets of fog lights and i drive around town with them all on and i pass cops back and forth, they don't do a dam thing. i also have hyper white signals and head lights too, cops don't seem to mind at all.
