It's a 1999 vintage Pulte home in Tucson AZ, 159,500. First house, plenty enough for one pimpin bachelor. Thanks for the props, just wanted to share my good fortune with you guys. Haven't posted pics of the ride in a real long time

4 bedroom, 2 full bath, master bath is one of those huge types, 1690 sq/ft no pool. It's a nice 2x6 house, mad insulated, tile roof, vaulted ceilings, as dope as I could afford. Only graduated a year ago so I didn't have enough for a huge azz house.... yet

I know! Same with North NJ

My parents recently bought a house for 320K and it's not "all that."

It's also 30+ years old.

That's awesome, buying a house in your 20's. GREAT INVESTMENT.

Where'd you buy Vito? I've been diggin' around and all the places I've found that fit my desires are up in farkin' Oro Valley. I'm starting to feel like I'm going to have to live with that commute. I ruled out Rita Ranch for now because it's too far out from most things besides work. I guess it'll be growing up soon enough but it just kinda doesn't feel right out there even though lots of my friends live there. GRRRRRRR!!

2x6 is a rare find these days so on that for sure. Congrats on the purchase.

J, it's in Arroyo Ridge on Golf Links and Harrison. Only 12 minutes to the office, great neighborhood, not too far south, but certainly not the hell hole that is Rita... And the houses are actually well built, that was mad important, I could have gotten 2200 ft for the same price if I wanted a new house built 2x4 with crappy insulation and tar roof, but I sacked up as much as I thought I would need

Holy ish, not far down the road from me.

I'm a few blocks south of GL between Prudence and Pantano or, as I prefer to say lately, in the ghetto. ;-) Just kiddin'. I'm just ****ed since my truck got stolen from my driveway and my dog chased down some punks at about 2am a couple days later.

Anyhow, your location got me to thinking about sticking to this side of town but moving up north a bit and then I remembered this great Chirco development from a few years back that's up around Harrison and Speedway. Red brick homes with nice elevations and stuff. I'm gonna go by and see if anythings open out there. A buddy of mine just bought into Castle Rock (up on Tanque Verde) but paid out his **** for the place. It's nice, but not for what he paid.

Enjoy the new pad.

JK

P.s. - Now that you have a new house you will need a truck for moving stuff and trips to home depot. And wait, this must be your lucky day...I just happen to have an 88 Chevy 4x4 w/ longbed, shell and 350 v8 for sale.

Congrats, man! What a good move. Just be sure to keep it neat and clean for when the chicks come over.

Next time somebody says, should I trade my max for an M5 or C5? We'll just point them to this thread!

Like I said, you're not just investing the downpayment (usually 20% + 10 grand or so to close), you're doing the full monty. So in a good market, you wake up 12 months later with in your case, maybe 9600 more in equity. With a little luck, 2 yrs down the road you have 20 grand more in equity. How smart that is instead of changing cars every 6 months. Dang I like those prices in AZ, and the thing is only 4 years old too. Sometimes I wonder what it is that makes us stick in the Northeast....

I guess cheap is relative...you can buy a house in Philly for only 18-25k. I work for a big co. and a person at work and his bro' were actually murdered in a house in Kensington for those of you who know the area. They had a fancy house in that neighborhood, cost 30 grand and they got robbed. Go to Queen Village and all of a sudden they're 1.2 mil and up.

To the plus side seems that houses appreciate faster not absolute-wise but %-wise where they are costly. Wish I lived in Garden City NY the last 5 years, woulda become a millionaire just for owning property (doesn't matter how much you borrowed cause the equity skyrocketed)! A lot of times our jobs take us to where we buy a house. Then, for doing nothing but taking out a mortgage our equity goes through the roof.

True enough, I've already set up floodlights inside to get better light on the patient. A little nip here, tuck there and those breasts will be as perky as a 20 year olds

nice looking place, nice looking car

That is definately a 450k-700k home over here depending on the neighborhood. Only thing you can get for 150k here is a studio apartment in the ghetto

Where in AZ are you?

In a few years I'm moving to West Phoenix (Avondale) and buying this:

3500 sq ft with 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths (big master bedroom bath like yours) for $266k.

(Well, it will probably be more like $290k when I move, but I'm waiting for some stock options to vest so I can buy her cash).

I'm also having the 3rd garage expanded and a hydraulic lift put in.

Errr...how do you plan to get to the garages? Is that a photochop of what you want or something? Also, given that it has the appearance of a new home in the United States of Generica, you probably can't do a dang thing to the garage because of the CCRs and homeowner association rules. Best double check all of that before you plop down any cash on a home in a newer subdivided neighborhood.
