anyone under 25 that has a 2K2 or 2K3?

I've heard that insurance rates are the same from 16-25. I'm 18 and want to get a 2K2-2K3 in a couple years but I am afraid insurance will kill me.
I was just wondering how much insurance would be.
Please list any tickets or accidents that might affect the insurance premium.

insurance rates are definitely NOT the same from 16-25....as long as you remain living at home you should always be under your parents' policy, as they can get you the homeowner and multicar discounts applied to you too, etc...

...once you're on your own, the rates are not the same, i've watched mine go down each year, i'm only 23 -- my insurance company gives my age discount a year early, it's based on how old i'll be during that calendar year, so right now they've got me as age 24, starting 1/1/04 they'll have me as 25...can't wait

oh and, i don't have a 2k2 or 2k3, but a 2000 SE and pay $229 a month for full coverage, no accidents, 1 ticket, same company for 5 years, in an area known for its very high rates...

$229 a month is about what I'm paying now for my 95. I got in an accident in May and now my rate went from $715 every 6 months to $1200 every 6mos.
I'm moving out in a month so I not looking forward to my rates going even higher.

well before you move, if you havent found a spot already, make sure to call and get quotes from the insurance company on the new spots you're looking at...saves a whole lotta headache when the bill comes and it makes financial sense

By the way, I'm interested in rates regardless of location. I'm partially interested in how much people are willing to pay to have a sweet 5th gen.

I already have a house for college. It's not really an option to move somewhere else since I am going to college in that area.

I have Allstate, under my parents in CT. Had an accident back when I was 18, my fault. No tickets. Now, I'm 24. Our insurance agent is great. I pay $1200 a year, $1000 deductible. I forget my exact coverage, but it is close to the maximum amount.

i'm 23 with a 2k2 in GA. Last year when I bought the car I had state farm and was paying ~$2000/yr for full coverage w/ $1000 deductible. I switched to Progressive last month and now its $1500 w/ $500 deductible. Hopefully this trend will keep going and i'll be paying $1000 next year (yea right)

no tickets, no accidents <knock on wood>

i was 18 when i bought mine and i had two tickets on my record. insurance was about 3300. then it dropped to 2600 and i got into an accident about 1 week later and it went back up to 3100 then another accident and back to 3300. insurance is the biggest scam ever, it's ridiculous.

I'm 18 and have a 2k3 I am under my parents policy. We have our house and a bunch of other vehicles under the same policy and i get good student/driver discounts and i also participated in the states YES program when i got my license.. its a little booklet thing that you fill out and it gives you a discount... Clean records all around but i got a ticket going to court on the 18th to fry the cops *** so needless to say i will have a clean record still. oh and our insurance is not all that expensive considering we have primarily new cars and with mine it is the same rate calculations from 15 to 25. At 25 i will start gettting cut some slack.

2k3 max, full coverage
$350/month by myself in georgia with progressive...
can't complain tho.. speeding ticket, accident (partly at fault), underage DUI, driving on suspended license, speeding... and minor traffic violations that i got in conjunction with these tickets...

if ur record is bad... i think progressive is the best way to go...

I am 23, own a 2k3. I pay about $110/mo. I have basic coverage + Collision and Comprehensive at $1000 deductable. About 3+ years ago I was in a big accident which was my fault. Luckily it was more than 3 years ago so that accident fell off my policy. On my new policy I pay $110/month, on my old one I was paying close to $160/month. Right now, I have 2 minor "accidents" on my record... but they both were not at fault, non chargeable accidents. I do have 3 points on my license for speeding... The only discount that I get is 10% because I completed "accident prevention course"... I am with Progressive BTW.

Insurance quote depends on DMV Record, CLUE report and your credit history. Of course other factors like location, make and model of the car etc. are all factors.

So, more than likely I'll have to wait until I'm out of college and have a full-time job to be able to pay for the car and pay insurance. Not to mention mods
