NO G35.......but 300ZX TT 5-spd

The deal fell through on the G35. The dealer started to d*ck me around this that and the other thing and i just walked out on the deal and said forget about it. There was a 1990 300ZX tt 5-spd with 104K right in the town i live in. It's been there for months and i just called up told him i wanted it and picked it up last night. Installed a custom intake on it last night. I'll prolly keep it for about a year and see if they make a turbo G35 and make the Z into a race car. The inside is mint, everything else on it seems good. I'll have the chip and exhaust on it soon, 400+hp. I'll keep you guys updated.

Shoulda gotten a '99-02 Camaro SS 6spd Steve. For some reason I think that car would suit you perfectly. Looks mean, sounds mean, factory fast and very tuneable. Plus you could probubly find one for not too much $$$.

Anyways be carefull, I hear the Turbo's need replacing around 120,000 miles on average.

Best of luck Steve.

Do some weight reduction. They are not the lighter sports cars.

you and your damn SLOWmaros. Other than them being gawd awful ugly, they sound raspy, not mean, and have you seen the interiors?!?! Their right on par with the pintos, chevetes, geo's and such. The 300ZX TT is a much more liveable car interior wise...nice choice for now...

yes, this is true. it ran a 12.7 as well. according the greddy, they just need to make a few tweaks, so it can fit right up to a G35.

and if it fits a g35, why not a 2k2+ maxima??

You sounded pretty confident that time when I posted the thread about how long its been taking frankencar to send out their intakes to their customers. Of course, when I asked you if you would be willing to put the title to you're car up on it, that was a different story.

Yeah I saw that too, those are sweet but Id personally rather have the Camero with the ZL1 427 in it now THAT is 850cfm carb, 12.5:1 comp ratio, and an insane cam stock rated at a detuned 425hp slap on some headers and you get youself an easy 600. Too bad only 69 of those motors were put in the camero and two in the same year vette 71 total.

Get an ASHspec ECU, you WON'T regret it. Cheaper than JWT and way better. Go to twinturbo.net and search. Congrats on your purchase.

This is usually where someone tries to argue with me about Chevrolet making a 302.

302 is the way to go. It's significantly lighter than the 427 and that's much of why it performs just like the 427 plus it revs to 7000+rpms.

There are rumors floating around that the next Camaro (yes, there will be one) will sport a high revving 302 in place of the 5.7. Sounds good to me.

If they make something like that it's likely to just be a 5.0 liter variant of the LS1 or Vortech series of small blocks. And many people do not know that the LS1 and LS6 are not 350's.

Steve, do some research on the '90 valve/valve springs. I believe there was a problem that Nissan fixed for post '90 models.

and to stay somewhat on topic.. congrats on the new car, have fun with it.. but that sucks not getting the g35, i keep seeing them and loving it more and more

Nope, they're a MUCH smaller 346CI But 350 sounds better! And the 5.0 that's likely to come along is essentialy just a 302. I know that it will be slightly smaller, but pretty darn close.
