What is the model number of the K&N drop in for the 2K1 max?

I bought the 33-2031-1 and it does not fit perfectly. The dealer said somthing about a -2 also fits but they did not have any in stock. This is actually the filter for the 2000 because they did not have the 2001 in the computer yet. The filters are itdentical right? thanks

 

I need the model number for a 2k max. I need it to complete my OSCAI!

The K&N # for the DROP IN is 33-2031-2. It fits 2000/2001 models. I bought mine @ Autozone.

 

I was able to use the K&N drop in filter from my 87 Max on my 2K Max. I know this filter will fit the 87 and up. I have friends that were able to fit this filter on a 92 and 99 Max. I don't know the model number but I'm sure you can cross reference it with previous models the Maxima.

 

the filter wont fit unless u install the gaskets with it. otherwise its too small.

 

The function of the gaskets in the -2 P/N is to prevent the filter from falling out of the filter drawer when you slide it into the airbox. The actual filters in the -1 and -2 P/Ns are the same. In fact, if you contact K&N, they'll probably send you the gaskets for free.
