You should be able to feel the difference. On Normal(switch in center position) or comfort, it will shift from 1st to 2nd fairly quickly(probably around 2k rpm) while in Power mode it will stay in 1st gear longer before switching, especially when accelerating fast.(it might go beyond 3k rpm depending on how hard you are driving)... But there is definitely a noticable difference between power mode and the other 2 modes.

If your shift points change according to the setting on the Power Comfort Switch... then it's a VERY common problem and very easy to fix. You just have a burnt mini bulb.

Go to Radioshack and get this part number:

272 1092 12v minilamps

Then you're set. Once you pop the center plastic panel, you will be able to figure out how to replace the bulb. Cheap and easy fix!

For more info on how to take apart your center dash, go to Craig's site:

http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte671n/mymax.html

Say thank you to Craig for this info.

Easy fix. I fixed mine about two months ago. Like Aaron said, if you can feel a difference in shifting then its just burnt out bulbs.

well for the ceiling light I would go to a auto parts store. It is different for the cars that have sunroofs and those that dont (I think---am to lazy to go check my 2 cars) but you should be able to look it up in their bulb book or computer.
