Stay 17" or go 18"

I'm in a debate with my own self over what to do with my Maxima. I just bought a whole crap load of parts for my car. Here's the list as follows. Stillen intake, exhaust, fstb, rstb, rsb, UDP, Eibach pro-kit springs and last but not least Tokico shocks. I need to know what to do, I like the 17" that are on my car, but I feel that 18" would really complete the car or package so to speak. My stock rims are 2k3 Titanium Edition wheels and 18's I want are Enkei RPM2's in 18x8. Hell the 18's weigh only 18.9 lbs a piece so they would reduce some unsprung weight on my car. So what's everybody's opinion. Stay 17" or go 18".

Well the debate is over. I just ordered 18x8 Enkei RPM2's with Yokohama 235/40 ZR 18's. The total cost was $1853 with the non-prorated tire warranty and everything else. I'll post pics when I get them in which should be Monday.

I do now..... Now i got two sets. Still debating which one to get rid of. Might get rid of both and get something lightweight and drop the whole chrome look and go 18s..... maybe not....

I believe these 18's combine performance with bling because they only weigh 18.9lbs vs 25 to 26lbs for my stock 17's. So as I see it it's a win, win situation.

Go with the 18"s. I was in the same debate with myself. I love the way the stock wheels look, but the offset is too small and the tires suck. You would have to upgrade the tires anyway because of the craptenzas so might as well go up an inch.

If you're into racing you might want to go with the 17's to reduce the weight a bit.

The only way i would go is 19" or up

You can barely tell the difference between 17's and 18's. If your gonna spend the money do it right. (Only my opinion). I'm putting wheels on my car too and that is the advice of my friends.

Those rims are tight! 18's are not bling though, especially if they're lightweight and gunmetal...

I've got a 2002 Maxima with 17's and I want to definitely upgrade to the 6th Generation Max 18" Rims. I'd obviously love to get 19's but I'm from North Jersey and any of you from the tri-state area know that potholes are big-time around here. Can any of you provide me with info on where I can get the best prices on those 18's that come with the 6th Generation Max and what tire size I should wrap them with? I'm thinkin 245/45/18.

Go with 18" 's :)

I just put ASA AR1 18's on my 2001 Maxima SE, and its looks totally different. Lowered it with H&R's and Tokikos. Very happy.

does enyone know what's the width of stock 17" wheels, how much do they weigh without tires?

18's

I have 18" Helo Diamonds, chrome, but they definitely look better than 17's. Lowering the Max obviously helps since you can stick a body between the wheel well when under factory suspension. Creates a much more agressive look...
