A close call with a flat bed truck while at my local Nissan dealer
I had to pick up a set of axel seals for a job I'm doing for an org member later on this evening. On my lunch hour I stopped by Nissan to get the parts. Fist off there was a new guy at the parts counter. He looked like a groupie from the Greatfull Dead and I realized then that the task of getting the correct seal to me quickly wasn't gonna happen. I ask for Axel seals for a 5 speed Maxima. First, after what seemed like a 10 minute wait he brings me hub seals.
After what seemed like another 10 minutes he finally brings me the two axel seals for the 5 speed tranny.
Just as I'm getting back into my car a flat bed is hauling in an Altima. The guy stops and blocks off the pathway to go around and out. So I started to do a simple turn around to head out the same way I drove in. Mind you I was behind this guy so my turn around would be directly in back of him. I proceed to make my 3 point turn, I waited and made sure the truck was indeed stopped. It made sense where he stopped because it was right in front of the service bay doors. I looked at his tail lights just to make sure no reverse lights were on. All looked good as I started to back up to give me room to clear some parked cars in front of me. Then out of the corner of my eye I realize that the rear of his truck is moving twards my left rear quarter pannel.
I pulled my shifter down to D hard and mashed the gas basically doing a neutral dump right in front of the service department.
My Injen roared for a brief second and I spun the front wheels. The whole shop turned to see what happened. He missed me by a hair. I waited till the driver got out and basically just told him he should get his reverse lights fixed so people behind him would know when he's about to back up. I was in his blind spot so I couldn't really be ****ed at the guy. He probably had no clue his lights didn't work.
OK I feel better now that thats out.

It's "Grateful," as in appreciative of benefits received, "panel," as in a separate part of a surface, and "engine," as in motor. Sometimes I wonder where our tax $$$ are going, there isn't a single school from PA that made Newsweek's Top 100 public schools list. Ours came in at 121 in the nation, I guess Kobe dragged us down!
