REverse indiglo gauges for 02

I know we've all heard about them enough already but I want to finally install mine tommorrow and I want some advice before tackling them. I've heard so many different things from everybody. I heard that you can remove the needles and not have a problem but then I heard the opposite. Then I heard that you can take the needle stops out to make the install easier but they don't look easy to come out. Do I need double sided tape or do they sit flush on top of my factory gauges. When I finally get the dash apart do the three clips from the indiglos clip to three clips for the regular gauges? Any help you be appreciated especially from people who have done it. Thanks

I installed them and they simply fit right on, no need to disassemble needles or anything. You gotta work them a bit to get them over the needles, but thats the hardest part about it. They will also sit flush on your gauges. Put them on and reassemble the housing, and your good to go.

Yeah what he said. Get some needle nose pliers to pull the needle stops out, and when you put them back in they hold the gauges face flush. The biggest PITA is taking off the main plastic surround of the dash. Putting it back in is even worse, I felt like I was going to break it. Some pretty good directions are here: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....5&pagenumber=6

GOT EM DONE!!! Thanks to everyone for the help. I love the gauges and wish they stayed on all the time. Pretty easy install..took about 30 minutes to do but what a nerve wrecking 30 minutes. Didn't know if I was doing it right and just praying that I didn't majorly screw anything up but very satisfied. While I was at it I also threw in my chrome gauge cluster. looks hot but no digi cam for pics.

Congrats on the new gauges, they really are a nice upgrade from the original.
