the I HATE TREE SAP thread [vent]

This stupid tree sap, man I have no choice but to park in my parents driveway, during the season my car is ALWAYS getting damn sap on it... And my luck expands to other places I go... ANd if a touch just cooks on int his summer heat, it burns right through the clear coat!!! What on earth am I supposed to do, I already had half my car repainted over this crap, and now my wing has had a few touches of clear coat gobbled up by the acid.

What do i have to do, put a freakin car cover over it in the summer? I don't even own one... yet. This is ridiculous!!

DAMN SAP!@#$!@

sorry for the complaint, just felt like venting.

car cover/ car port is your best option.

or just get a good coat of wax on your car, then use the quick detail sprays to wipe it off....or park far away

car cover would probably be the least expensive route IMO

Or cutting the tree down if your parents will let you - perhaps the branches that over hang the drive way.

Tree sap is one of the hardest things to get out, but wax does help and a car cover would be a good option too.

I know, and here's a new one. I've always been able to get the tree sap off my car's paint, but have a clear bra installed for rock chips. And sap has now successfully stained that (and apparently soaked into it so I can't get it out). Can't win...
