Damn curb rash in the morning.. damn it all to hell

Walking to my car this morning on my way to work I spotted something ghastly. Hoping that it was the usual morning dirt, I opted for a closer inspection of the ominous streaks on my left front corner of my bumper. I nearly shat my pants in disgust when I saw that, somehow, some way, I (or maybe the car wash inbreds) managed to put 4 or 5 fairly deep gashes in the underside of my bumper, with the gashes extending slightly upwards towards my fog light. It isn't very noticeable, but between this and my first minor dent, I am not a happy camper.

"Shat"...he he

That sucks dude, but unless you are super **** like myself and have a 2nd car that you drive around all the time and leave your max for quick rides to get gas and pick up smokes it's gonna happen. However, despite that I still have a ding or 2 (from what I have no idea). The most vunlurable my car is is when it goes to the dealer. I hate giving the keys over to anyone.

Oh, if you really obsess over your car or even moderatly care about about don't take it to a car wash or quick oil change place. I took my previous beater car to a car wash and they hit a trash can as they pulled it out and didn't say a word. At Jiffy lube the idiot filling the tires with air would drag the hose across all the cars, the guy taking out the used oil filters hit my car with the bag, and the stupid f&*k who was working the air hose decided to use my car to hold up his weight as he squeezed between me and the car in front of me.

Luckily I didn't have my Maxima...I would have had to kill them all.

Haha.. I may have to rethink the carwash thing but I don't have a garage to wash my car in/around. It's true though, **** will happen over time.

Check if they have the "self service" car washes around you. I lived in an apt for 6 years and never took my car to an automatic car wash. Another option is to take it to a hand wash place. These places are ok and usually on charge around $10 in NY. The thing is you may have to wait a while if there is a line...that and they go out of business like crazy.

Yeah automatic carwashing sucks, always scratches your car and spoils the paint.
I know a good self-service place here in SF, I always wash mine there... its on Geary and Masonic, well just a block or two behind Masonic. Give it a try, Ilya.

Thanks for the condolences, guys.

Alex, I know which one you're talking about, I think I'll do that next time. I got your message but completely forgot to call you back. Sorry 'bout that, I hope it wasn't an emergency or anything. What did you want?
