Anyone know how many inches of ground clearance you lose with the stillen bodykit for the 5th gen max?

Oh.........and how much does it go for?

kev...i'm calling a bluff on this one...w/ my new kit, my car is lower than ever and i have about 5-6 inches of ground clearance...take a ruler and measure...i think you have 8" or so...my guess though...maybe i measured mine wrong but it looks to me like the stillen kit doesn't lower the body at all, it just sticks the lines out...i might be wrong though, thats just how it looks in all the pics to me...acMAX you shouldn't lose any clearance (if my theory about the stillen kit is correct)

kev...how are you measuring this? i measure from the bottom of my garage to the lowest point in the front of the car...on my sides of the front i have 5" and in the middle i have 6"...this kit is definitely much lower than stock...i will need to find someone around here w/ a stillen kit and meaure up w/ them...i remember my friend measuring mine at 6 or 7" w/ just eibachs on...this kit is low...i can't even clear the little tiny curb at the edge of my garage where you store stuff...no way this is only as high as the max w/ the stillen kit

answer my ? though...does the stillen kit lower the car? i have only actually seen the stillen kit once in person and that was a long long time ago so i really don't remember...i'm just thinking...mine is low...maybe i'm measuring wrong...i'm doing it from the sides and from the center of the front bumper...5 and 6"

How much weight do these kits add? Does it affect performance that much? I want one like MRBurner!

On the sides like you said, I measure 5". In front, I measure about 6"... so I'm just as low as you. Yes, the kit does lower the car. By how much I don't know because I didn't measure. I clear regular curbs by millimeters...

mrburner and Y2kevSE

so basically you're telling me the stillen kit will not cause me to lose any ground clearance? That can't be right? I'm looking at a picture of it right now in the stillen catalogue and it definitely looks like it gives the car a "lowered" look. Hey Y2kevSE!!!! How much did you pay for your kit? Sh*t looks phat!! Yours looks good too Mrburner but it must be hellish to drive. You must have to worry about every little thing you see on the road. Don't you worry about cracking your kit?

With the kit and Eibachs I have 5" of clearance. I can clear (up to a certain point) a regular curb by a few millimeters. Bought the kit from Maxima Day @ Stillen for $805, but you can get it at a lower price. Thanks for the compliment!

Check with Avalon Racing or importdivision on the prices of the kit. Installation/paint should be around $500.

You're welcome.

MrBurner, in looking at your photograph, the middle of your side skirt appears to be angled upward whereas the Stillen kit looks to be parrallel with the ground. Perhaps the picture is deceiving. I would think the lowest point on any part of the car would be the true measurement.

well...i measured and mine has about 5-6" ground clearance all around except in the middle of the rear bumper it has about 8-10"...front middle i have about 5.5" and front sides i have about 5"...sideskirts i have about 5.5" and rear i have from 5.5" (by the wheels) upto about 10" (in the center)...this is w/ eibachs...if you are thinking about getting a kit and mine looks too low...it seems that the stillen kit is just as low...so far i have not scraped on anything (speed bumps etc.)...so if you don't have springs figure about 1.5" higher in front and about 1" higher in the back for clearance...
