When you're at the dyno...could you gain anything more if you took off your air filter completely? You're not goin anywhere so dirt/crap couldn't get in the intake manifold...

anyone tried?

I dun think you will see much gain on it. I would rather to dyno my car on a 50F morning to see more horsies on my dyno graph.

if you want...you can put a big fan over your intake.

But the filter itself isn't a huge restriction unless it is pretty dirty.

Tiem at www.supercamry.com saw gains of 2-3 hp/tq by removing the filter on his 98 Camry V6 5spd.
