Light application of a heat gun/hair dryer works.

It is what body shops use to remove double stick tape and pinstrips off of a cars painted surface without scratching the paint.

I used to "GOO GONE" on the double sided tape underneath my door moldings. It just takes a lot of patience.

It depends on how old the tape is. I found that if you soaking it with WD-40, let it sit for about an hour, use a plastic bondo spreader to scrap it really slowly, it comes off with out scraching the paint. Got to go slow.
The cork wheel works good, but I've seen guy's who don't know how to use it remove or burn the paint.
Funny how two way tape sticks when you don't want it to, and won't stick when it's suppose to!!!!

Goof Off, Goo Gone or WD40 will al work. Be careful to check and make sure it isn't damaging the finish. After you clean off the adhesive completely, make sure to wash and wax the area.
