HEADS UP: UR SC Pulley is now available!

Ultra Sc Street Charger Crank Pulley #121001002--->http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/nissan_maxima.html

I know LatinMax was working on this awhile ago, but didn't seem to be to far along. Now they have it in the mags, so it *should* be available.

Anyways, it's designed for SC cars or large audio guys who don't want to underdrive the alternator. According to their advertisement:
The alternator section of the pulley is stock diameter or overdriven(depending on the application). The a/c & p/s(most applications) still benefit from underdrive.
(Also available in SSc kits!)

Yeah, my Stillen rep told me about them back in June... It may free up a couple of ponies, not much probably.

Notice it says "most appplications". Because on the VQ's the A/C and alternator use the same belt. And even the underdrive pulley's do not underdrive the power steering.

Even better!

I don't care for underdriving ESPECIALLY the alternator and A/C. I don't really care if the p/s is or not. I just want the lighter weight.

That's why I called is UR SC pulley not UR UDP.

I don't want underdriving, hence the excitement for the new pulley.

I did get it worked out. I have had that pulley on the car for 5-6 months.
I did not get a chance to DYNO befor I blew the engine...but it hit the rev limiter much quicker.
I let you know dyno numbers in about a month.

I'd be skeptical that these things even exist until I saw pictures of one. Further down the list is a Supercharged 3.5L pulley as well. When was the last time you saw the stillen SC kit slapped onto a 2k2-2k4 Maxima?

An altima owner told me stillen has a kit for the 3.5L out? really I replied to him, I was on their site about an hour ago why didnt I see that kit? I only saw the G35/350 kits. Its amazing how people try to BS you not knowing that you know more about their vehicle then they do

Well that's true for Stillen, however I saw the add in Turbo&High Tech Performance specifically for the Nissan Maxima and a "New application", so I got my hopes up and verified they had the part number on the website.

Anyways, seems LatinMax has one.

Neato. Think should add some decent gains? Since the SC sucks a lot of power out of the belt driven area.

Just to clarify something about the whole G35/350Z/Maxima issues, it's my understanding the engine is mounted front-to-back, rather than side-to-side (a la maxima style) in the G35/350Z's. I suppose that would have to be correct in order for the G35/350 kits not to work on the Maxima, correct?

You know we're getting better aftermarket support when companies brag about SC pullies when the SC isn't even out yet!
