slizans first time at the track with the max

Well, I took the max to the track for the first time last night. The track was Atlanta Dragway (Commerce), and the conditions sucked. High temps/humidity and a very dirty track slowed me down I think. All I have done to my Max is a popcharger a y-pipe, and a muffler. I used to have a b-pipe, but it hung down too low so i removed it. I'm also a Cali-spec, so I have more resrictive smog equipment. I went with some friends of mine from work. One had a 2000 Sentra with the SR20DE, I/H/E, and is running a NX 75 wet shot. My best time was 15.875 @ 86.92mph. We got rained out after a couple runs, but i'm confident that the max is capable of 15.5 or 15.6 as it sits. I'm number 41 and he's number 40.

EDIT: the scans didn't come out so here are the times:

-------------LEFT--------------------RIGHT

CAR#----------40----------------------41

R/T----------1.123-------------------1.241
60'----------2.692-------------------2.415
330----------7.231-------------------6.761
1/8---------10.702------------------10.296
MPH---------73.09-------------------70.42
1000--------13.642------------------13.300
1/4---------16.094------------------15.875
MPH---------91.33-------------------86.92

-------------LEFT--------------------RIGHT

CAR#----------40----------------------41

R/T----------1.411-------------------1.500
60'----------2.746-------------------2.456
330----------7.227-------------------6.812
1/8---------10.655------------------10.353
MPH---------73.42-------------------70.28
1000--------13.581------------------13.381
1/4---------16.032------------------15.995
MPH---------91.25-------------------85.73

The Sentra ran a 15.31 @ 94.87 before he raced me. The max must've disrupted his concentration

EDIT #2: I had a Consult II plugged in between runs so I could leave my fans on high without the car running. I tried to keep the temps between 175-180 degrees.

Let me know next time you go to Commerce. I've been meaning to go but I would like to go up with a fellow Max owner. What are your goals for when it gets a little cooler?

lurchdogg: I'll be going back soon. My goals are low 15's or low 14's by the end of the year, depending when i get my nitrous setup. I now work for Nissan, so I'm gonna see about getting a mevi. I'll post a thread next time I go up there.

Ceasars Chariot: I've been to the drags before, but but it was with my 1995 Z28. I like the track thing, and i like keeping it off the street.

Yeah there was some shirtless guy that would drag a mop across the track every 5-6 runs, and that was all the cleaning they did. On the drive home, my tires had so much rubber and debris stuck to them that the steering wheel about shook out of my hand.
