3rd gear trap small??

3rd gear trap small??
Generally I notice no issue when I shift...
But when I do, it is usually 3rd gear, like the trap for it is too narrow... have any of you run into this issue?
I only notice it sometimes, like if I speed shift, or very slow shift, or 5 to 3 shift, etc...
It's not the syncro, it doesn't get that far into place...
