hey guys and gals, check this out...

i went to the local nissan dealership to have them do a car search for me...im looking for a 97-99 black or dark blue GXE 5-speed with a moonroof...

i currently have a 97 black gxe automatic with a moonroof and a power drivers seat. the salesman told me my car is "one in a million, a total custom factory order." is that a buncha bull or what? he also told me that the car i want (listed above) wasnt made, ie the moonroof wasnt an option on a gxe, which i know is bunk. any info from yall will be appreciated! thanks

Well, I'm not sure about '97, but in '99, the Security and Convenience Pkg. wasn't available on GXE's unless it was auto. I think in order to get the sunroof, you need to have the Security and Convenience Pkg., thus, you wouldn't be able to have a sunroof on a 5-speed GXE. It could've been different in '97 though.

About your car being "one in a million", I don't know what kinda crap the salesman was giving you, but I've seen a lot of '97 GXEs around...not too sure if they had a sunroof though.

Yep....he's right.....no 5sp and a sunroof....the gxe 5sp is meant to be a bare bones cheap *** car.

 

i like the gxe cuz its light and no stupid options...but, check this out, the salesman also told me that i could get a SE 5 speed without bose and leather and still get sunroof, do yall know if this is true for 97-99s also? thanks a ton guys i really appreciate it

i have a 95 SE , no bose, no leather, power driver seat, SE options(fogz,spoiler,rims) and i have a moonroof.
