Finished Wood Trim Installation

It was a bit dark out today and my pics didnt come out as good as i had hoped.

Here are some pics anyway:

Burlwood

The material is first class stuff but i will say that i wish the pieces fit a bit better. I tried my darndest to fit them perfectly but there were still some gaps here and there.

It kinda bugs me that they didnt fit perfectly, but its much better than it was thats for sure. My old wood was cracked, faded, and coming off.

This kit came with additional trim which i didnt originally have, including the trim below the speedo gauge, and the trim around the window controls(front & back) and mirror control.

Im also upset that the kit did not include trim for around the interior door release lever. As you can see, it looks half done without that small peice of trim around there.

In the end, im pleased with the quality and look.

PS-This stuff is no joke, it sticks so well you dont even want to think about messing up. Onces its on, its on!

PSS-Ill probably exceed my bandwidth so if you dont see any pics, try back later. Ill probably add these pics to my cardomain site so you can click on my "homepage" and see them there also.

Peace!

That looks good!

Too bad Nissan went cheap and put black steering wheels and shifters in tan interior cars...

PS-Plz dont hate on my dirty **** interior
I just got the car and ill be getting some brand new Maxima floor mats and maybe some aluminum pedals.

Your kit looks good. This is the same kit (Oxford Burlwood) I had in my car when I had my '95. I had the gauge bezel, as well, with the kit. Yeah, I left out the door trim handles, also, because it just didn't look right. As far as all the extra pieces left over in the kit, I bought the same type of trim for my 2000 SE. (I didn't know I was going to end up with a beige interior again, so I use some parts from my '95 kit). I was skeptical with my '00 kit, because it didn't stand out as well with my '95. I had alot of compliments on my '95 because it's hard to match up a good kit for the beige interiors! Yeah, and what is it with Nissan putting these "black" color steering wheels and shifters with their SE beige interiors?!? My '00 has this option, and I think it takes away from the "matched" look. Luckily, when I had my '95, it had a "brown" steering wheel and shifter to give it that cleaner look!!

Of the few that I have looked at I must say that your wood trim looks the best but I still think it looks kinda cheesy especially with the gaps. I don't think I'll be putting any wood trim kits on my max any time soon. Just my opinion.

I actually thought about not adding the window control trim since it didnt come with the door release trim but heck man, i paid over $200 for this sucker and i was gonng use everything it came with, lol.

Its a shame though that i paid for 19 pieces but only could use 16 since it was a kit that fits 95-99 cars.

Anyone wanna buy some extra peices
