Can motor mounts go bad @ around 58K miles?

My current problem with the car is that it idles like crap. The RPMs in Park and Drive seems to be correct but I get an idle that "doesn't feel right".

I brought it into the stealership and the results came out to be "Inconclusive". They are not sure what is causing my idle to be sh|tty. The technician who looked at it and said the 4th Gen Maxes are known to have bad motor mounts. Can motor mounts go bad at the amount of miles I have right now?

Yes, it's not necessarily the amount of miles on a car. That's one of the factors. It could be broken from launching hard, driving style, etc. If you want to test those out, put the car in drive, hold down the brake and push down the gas at the same time. See if there is excessive movement in the motor.

Are you getting any vibration?

I do get vibrations. In the past, when I am sitting at a stoplight the car is silky smooth. Now, i can feel a vibration that is noticeable through the brake pedal.

As for driving style, I drive like a granny 95% of the time. I'll try the holding the brake and press the gas test when I get chance a tomorrow.

I did this on my '95 GLE and the motor moves pretty far to the back, but it's smooth.
