Weird "clicking" during right-hand turns....
My 95 GLE makes a weird clicking noise during right-hand turns:
1) The noise is electronic, not mechanical, and makes a clicking noise like a relay would.
2) The noise comes from the steering column, in the approximate area of the gauge cluster.
3) The noise only occurs on right-hand turns, not left ones.
4) The noise only occurs when I make a turn using the turn-signal.
5) The noise has absolutely no effect of performance or driveability.
The above makes me think that it is simply a turn signal relay, but why would the noise be coming from the steering column?!
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
