Cleaning Intake question

Got a Stillen Intake but the filter is really dirty. IS there any way that I can clean it or should I just get a brand new intake. Also since it's so dirty and I'l probably won't get an intake till april of next year should I put the stock filtr back in or leave the Stillen as is.

if you buy a new one send me your "old" one. you are actually gonna spend the money for a new intake? i hope you mean just the filter.
the filter is K&N so you can clean an reuse.

the filter isn K&N ... all u got to do is go to your local carshop
and get a K&N filter cleaner ... it will look brand new again after you're done cleaning...
u can use your filter up to 50,000.. no need for another filter

Thanks for the info. The reason why I was thinking of getting a new intake is because ti feels like the car doesn't perform as good but it could be cause the filter is dirty and not as much air is going into it. IS that what it is?

Another reason why you car doesn't perform as good now with this Stillen intake could be because you probaly lost some low end torque. Especially with Auto it will be more noticable.
What I would do is to get a midpipe from FrankenCar or other places and install it between the TB and the K&N cone filter. You should restore some of the lost low end torque.

it just depends on your conditions. ive noticed with the stock scoop on and tubing i run to the intake that obviously its gets dirtier quicker. ive got two different filters that i use but i tend to clean mine around every 8k-10k. k&n says 50k but that might work on a drop in filter that is not exposed like a cone filter is. if you see black spots or places where the red is faded then i would clean it since its only 10 bucks for the kit.
